Dear Lou,
Forgive me for boring you with the following minutia and repetition of your timely insights, but I overheard the callers who lectured you on the "waste of time" spent making light of the status of our nation and the ongoing "Kabuki Dance" being performed by members of the Congress vis-à-vis the disassembling of our nation's economy and dilution of our workforce by some 40+ million foreign workers without regard to the laws and secure borders provisions of the Constitution, which have been abrogated for expediency in garnering political capital, abuses by big business and complicit support of the agenda of PC leftists and special interests.
To keep it short and to the point, I couldn't agree with you more. You continually hit the nail on its head by exposing the farcical actions of this administration, and the litany of abuses, ignoring protocols, and violations of laws by the DOJ, for whatever reason, at the expense of 308 million people, half of which acted as fools, as you eloquently alluded, electing this crew and continue to support, with unmerited favor and anticipation, these criminals in our nation's capitol.
To address your commentary on the TSA, again you hit the nail on its head. The TSA's actions relative to thugs and federally institutionalized terrorists performing unauthorized searches in violation of 4th Amendment rights of every citizen must be stopped. Unlawful searches on our commercial airlines, an industry regulated by the FAA was bad enough. Now, we cannot travel the highways without being molested and probed by the TSA's police and their K-9 regiments. This insanity to no purpose except to humiliate, subdue and intimidate us all is over the top!
I would just commend you and your staff as the most capable and responsibly independent, accurate and truthful voice for freedom on our airways today. This Republic was founded on completely different principles and laws than what we see operating in a nation of fools today. I agree with the P-POTUS on one point, i.e. we absolutely can't wait for results of the 2012 elections. This entire administration, in its arrogance and ignominious policies, must be thrown out! Now!
Please carry on, as it were, your efforts to expose salient truths in logical fashion, the passion of your convictions and reality. It is exceedingly refreshing.
Best regards and blessings to you and yours. May God save the Republic of the United States of America. "In God We Trust" (others we investigate!)

Lou. Happy Independence Day! Unfortunately for most of us, the fix is in regarding our energy independence. It really doesn't matter which cartel is in charge, OPEC or domestic oil & gas companies, the energy supply is being controlled to keep prices as high as possible. I live in western Colorado, ground zero for natural gas development until last year. The scores of drilling rigs that once dotted the area have moved East to your neck of the woods, NJ, NY, PA and North to ND. A few rigs remain, but our latest energy boom appears to be over. The public and private gas leases are still there. The oil & gas is still there. Blaming the energy problem on a lack of leases or on not being able to drill in wildlife sanctuaries may make for good sound bites, but it's just hot air. Thank you for what you do. The Corps of Engineers has set out a map of inundation and at first were told to prepare to be gone for 2 months. High levels of water are coming from the dams in MT, ND, SD and flooding the rivers in NE, IA and eventually MO and all the way down the MS River Interstates are closed but they don't tell why, they are under water. Its NO coincidence that the racist card has come back out. I may think Trump is a blowhard, but as of right now he is a threat, so now he is a racist. Some of my friends on Facebook have started the "boycott Trump products, because he is a racist" posts. Its a shame that this is going to dominate our political debate AGAIN in this election cycle. Okay the since 2006 when the Demons ran everything where is all the good news hiding. They had all three branches and there is/ was no good news. They would argue more of the past is a good thing. Their party leader deals in deceit, directly lies or causes facts that he twists with partial truths to be a way of operating the citizens.. The Crats like this government and somehow do not see their policies have for the most part all failed.
When pressed Crats will not directly answer questions and use the tact of screaming over the questioner to change the subject. You only have to pick any of them say a congressman (from NY) like A.W. to show truth in my statement or take Alan Coombs who frequently appears on Fox to keep to the Party line. The Crats simply never do the right thing as far as I can tell. If the new Health care law does go into effect that should finish off the USA because of it's cost no matter what the current budget battle passes.
I have always thought the avergae citizen is underinformed and that they make dumb decisions in the voting both because of ignorance. If they are not engaged, don't watch anything except for the lame media networks or ever read a paper it's no wonder the Crats as the party of fear and dog food for seniors is the message we get.

Lets say the government shuts down Friday and that the Dems refuse any riders on the last House passed CR. Lets further assume the Dems who are then out boxed keep the Govt shutdown. After september 30 a new fiscal year starts and there is no budget or money set aside to kepp ( or allow) the govenrment running.
That could mean if I understand correctly that the Govt could stay shutdown through 2012. I am thinking if any bills are passed they all include no money for obamacare). Should the President never gives in the Govt saves tons of money every day. Obama is boxed in where he has to fold as people in the Public get madder and madder at him. The Republicans always have an offer out that lets the President reopen at any time as long as he agrees to the rider. The rider also includes a provision for the fed to take of bonds that need to be paod off or issued.
Since we know the public wants Obamacare repealed anyhow it would seem with the right PR that the Dems are in a bad position with only one way out. When the govt does re-open the lost govt salaries are paid ( if at all) by a work comp or unemployement type rate. Not in full as no work should not get full pay. The SEIU Union would be in a tizzy.
While this is not a likely option could the Republican leverage end up with a great deal for the American people. If Obama has his term ended by shutdown at least he can not keep destroying the life of the middle class that is being wiped out by the country's economic conditions.

He spends money like we have money to burn. He avoids decisions and clarity related to important issues. The cabinet departments are not clear about much. Regulations they issue have huge costs. The health plan will not only bankrupt us but the poor will only have emergency rooms to go to as doctors will not accept Medicaid direct appeal to the supreme court so he can keep spending. The hidden 105 billion in the bill allows him to keep spending. If the government is shut down Obama decides what is essential. He may say it all is.... His staff and appointments are all incompetent. Racial justice is being practiced by the department of Justice. I don't know what the solution is to the gay marriage debate. I believe there has to be some place for gay people in our society. However, with the current lack of real research both physiological and psychological into homosexuality I believe we must proceed with caution. The greater issue is what happens to the children of same sex unions -- who will speak for them? Also, if we enact true domestic partnerships (i.e. marriage) to same sex couples does it make sense to deny that right to other people who would want the financial and legal benefit of that partnership but are not in a sexual relationship with their partner. I can envision that a heterosexual brother and sister who have no sexual relationship and do not wish to make a sexually based committment, i.e. marriage, may wish to obtain the same financial and legal benefit of a complete domestic partnership. I'm not talking about incest -- I'm talking about the situation where the pension and health insurance benefits cannot be obtained without marriage under current law by people who do not fit into the pigeon hole relationship that either gay marriage or heterosexual marriage provides. My point is either take the sex element out of domestic partnerships or keep the traditional definition of marrage as it stands today in most states. Anything else is true discrimination.

Term limits are a good thing. It to be elected officials devoted a time to helping run the govt as part of their civic duty then returned to their chosen profession. Now almost all elected officials want to make a career out of running for office. What would draw these people to do this? Does the city of Bell ring any bells? What corruption is yet to be discovered in this country? Who is in position to prevent it from being discovered? I believe every govt employee should have their salary published annually in the local media or state/fed media, depending on level of govt. Look, we can't be broke. Where is all the money going?

Lou, Please discuss Shore Bank and Obama. Lots of dynamite here.
"This is an interesting story put together from various articles and TV shows by the British Times paper. It shows what Obama and his friends are really all about. It's not hope and change, it is money. I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The second part connects all the dots for you (it will open your eyes).
The end explains how Obama and all his cronies will end up as multi-billionaires. (It's definitely worth the read. You will not be disappointed).
A small bank in Chicago called SHOREBANK almost went bankrupt during the recession. The bank made a profit on its foreign micro-loans (see below) but had lost money in sub-prime mortgages in the U.S. It was facing likely closure by federal regulators. However, because the bank's executives were well connected with members of the Obama administration, a private rescue bailout was arranged. The bank's employees had donated money to Obama's Senate campaign. In other words, ShoreBank was too politically connected to be allowed to go under.
ShoreBank survived and invested in many "green" businesses such as solar panel manufacturing. In fact, the bank was mentioned in one of Obama's speeches during his election campaign because it subjected new business borrowers to eco-litmus tests.
Prior to becoming President, Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, a liberal charity. This foundation was originally established by Joyce Kean's family which had accumulated millions of dollars in the lumber industry. It mostly gave funds to hospitals but after her death in 1972, the foundation was taken over by radical environmentalists and social justice extremists.
This JOYCE FOUNDATION, which is rumored to have assets of 8 billion dollars, has now set up and funded, with a few partners, something called the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE, known as CXX. It will be the Exchange (like the Chicago Grain Futures Market for agriculture) where environmental Carbon Credits are traded.
Under Obama's new bill, businesses in the future will be assessed a tax on how much CO2 they produce (their Carbon Footprint) or in other words how much they add to global warming. If a company produces less CO2 than their allotted measured limit, they earn a Carbon Credit. This Carbon Credit can be traded on the CXX exchange. Another company, which has gGone over their CO2 limit, can buy the Credit and "reduce" their footprint and tax liability. It will be like trading shares on Wall Street.
Well, it was the same JOYCE FOUNDATION, along with some other private partners and Wall Street firms that funded the bailout of ShoreBank. The foundation is now one of the major shareholders. The bank has now been designated to be the "banking arm" of the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE (CXX). In addition, Goldman Sachs has been contracted to run the investment trading floor of the exchange.
So far so good; now the INTERESTING parts.
One ShoreBank co-founder, named Jan Piercy, was a Wellesley College roommate of Hillary Clinton. Hillary and Bill Clinton have long supported the bank and are small investors.
Another co-founder of Shorebank, named Mary Houghton, was a friend of Obama's late mother. Obama's mother worked on foreign MICRO-LOANS for The Ford Foundation. She worked for the foundation with a guy called Geithner. Yes, you guessed it. This man was the father of Tim Geithner, our present Treasury Secretary, who failed to pay all his taxes for two years.
Another founder of ShoreBank was Ronald Grzywinski, a cohort and close friend of Jimmy Carter.
The former ShoreBank Vice Chairman was a man called Bob Nash. He was the deputy campaign manager of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid. He also sat on the board of the Chicago Law School with Obama and Bill Ayers, the former terrorist. Nash was also a member of Obama's White House Transition team.
(To jog your memories, Bill Ayers is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He founded the Weather Underground, a radical Revolutionary group that bombed buildings in the 60s and 70s. He had no remorse for those who were killed, escaped jail on a technicality, and is still an admitted Marxist).
When Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, he "funneled" thousands of charity dollars to a guy named John Ayers, who runs a dubious education fund. Yes, you guessed it. The brother of Bill Ayers, The terrorist.
Howard Stanback is a board member of Shorebank. He is a former board chairman of the Woods Foundation. Obama and Bill Ayers, the terrorist, also sat on the board of the Woods Foundation. Stanback was formerly employed by New Kenwood Inc. a real estate development company co-owned by Tony Rezko.
(You will remember that Tony Rezko was the guy who gave Obama an amazing sweet deal on his new house. Years prior to this, the law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland had represented Rezko's company and helped him get more than 43 million dollars in government funding. Guess who worked as a lawyer at the firm at the time. Yes, Barack Obama).
Adele Simmons, the Director of ShoreBank, is a close friend of Valerie Jarrett, a White House senior advisor to Obama. Simmons and Jarrett also sit on the board of a dubious Chicago Civic Organization.
Van Jones sits on the board of ShoreBank and is one the marketing directors for "green" projects. He also holds a senior advisor position for black studies at Princeton University You will remember that Mr. Van Jones was appointed by Obama in 2009 to be a Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House. He was forced to resign over past political activities, including the fact that he is a Marxist.
Al Gore was one of the smaller partners to originally help fund the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE. He also founded a company called Generation Investment Management (GIM) and registered it in London, England. GIM has close links to the UK-based Climate Exchange PLC, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange. This company trades Carbon Credits in Europe (just like CXX will do here) and its floor is run by Goldman Sachs.
Along with Gore, the other co-founder of GIM is Hank Paulson, the former U.S. Treasury Secretary and former CEO of Goldman Sachs. His wife, Wendy, graduated from and is presently a Trustee of Wellesley College. Yes, the same college that Hillary Clinton and Jan Piercy, a co-founder of Shorebank attended. (They are all friends).
Interesting? And now the closing...
Because many studies have been exposed as scientific nonsense, people are slowly realizing that man-made global warming is nothing more than a money-generating hoax. As a result, Obama is working feverishly to win the race. He aims to push a Cap-and-Trade Carbon Tax Bill through Congress and into law.
Obama knows he must get this passed before he loses his majority in Congress in the November elections. Apart from Climate Change he will "sell" this bill to the public as generating tax revenue to reduce our debt. But, it will also make it impossible for U.S. companies to compete in world markets and drastically increase unemployment. In addition, energy prices (home utility rates) will sky rocket.
But, here's the KICKER (THE MONEY TRAIL).
If the bill passes, it is estimated that over 10 TRILLION dollars each year will be traded on the CXX exchange. At a commission rate of only 4 percent, the exchange would earn close to 400 billion dollars to split between its owners, all Obama cronies. At a 2 percent rate, Goldman Sachs would also rake in 200 billion dollars each year.
But don't forget SHOREBANK. With 10 trillion dollars flowing though its accounts, the bank will earn close to 40 billion dollars in interest each year for its owners (more Obama cronies), without even breaking a sweat.
It is estimated Al Gore alone will probably rake in 15 billion dollars just in the first year. Of course, Obama's "commissions" will be held in trust for him at the Joyce Foundation. They are estimated to be over 8 billion dollars by the time he leaves office in 2013, if the bill passes this year. Of course, these commissions will continue to be paid for the rest of his life.
Some financial experts think this will be the largest "scam" or "legal heist" in world history.. Obama's cronies make the Mafia look like rank amateurs. They will make Bernie Madoff's fraud look like penny ante stuff."

Congress should pass a law that requires national border security appropriations and measures are funded and enforced first before any other budget item without exception. It should also pass separate from any contested budget as well.

In my opinion President Obama is no President Johnson, nor is he the quality of man that President Roosevelt was. I understand that not every President has attended however this is also the 100th anniversary and is 'kind of important'.
In my opinion President Obama should be officially reprimanded by the BSA for his lack of leadership.

Lou. The United States is segregated only because people choose to be so. I find it ridiculous that with a nation at war on two or three fronts if you count the border, that people do not see that the nation segregates itself into areas of similarity. Even the Illegal Entrants segregate and congregate in areas of similar ethnicity. The only issue I have with that is that it destroys the whole idea of a United States.
We have drug cartels, gangs, and millions of illegals running wild and we find no correlation between these three sub-cultures and the slow decay or our society. Billions upon billions spent on wars overseas and we have a war here at home. It is called Invasion. And whilst we see the rich segregate themselves in mansions and the poor living pay check to paycheck, we still find the time to see colors other than those on our flag.
While the Politicians squabble over pieces of the pie and Americans wait for leadership we are still mired in race issues? C'mon, this is the 21st Century. If we haven't got our dung together by now we still have a long way to go as a nation in terms of maturation. Lou. I make no bones about the fact I am an ardent Patriot. I serve the Constitution, not the people who take an oath on it. As much as I would love to see you in office it is going to take all of American Citizens to stand tall and against Imperialistic rule. Socialism, Imperialism, or just business as usual will not suffice. I implore you to make that point when pointing out that just voting is not going to change the face of our nation-action is only going to suffice. Make it count Lou, and to all who wish to see liberty restored to a nation divided.
Our very future, our Sovereignty and existence hangs in the balance, and it is our Patriotic duty to see that our nation shall not vanish from the face of this Earth. God Bless America.

Lou. The problem that most upsets me about this government, (both Parties), is that they seem mired back in the Post World War II mentality. They seem to have forgotten or do not even comprehend that this is the 21st Century. Thus, they think backwards not forwards. In short, history always repeats itself and that always seems to have dire consequences for the average citizen. Wars should be fought only when they have to be, not for profit or vanity. Our borders are not just invisible lines on some map-they define what are nation is in legal terms as well as ideological terms. In short, the way our economy is falling apart like a poorly baked muffin is due to loss of connection with the realities that all poorly conceived actions are all interlinked. Immigration affects not only the legal issues of being here against our laws, it also affects every financial aspect of our national and state budgets. Jobs are affected, morale, even our belief that we are still a United States.
To summarize: If you spend one dollar on one illegal then it adds up to millions, billions, and eventually we are talking about no jobs, no room in classrooms, and no Social Security for those who put into the account. That is why I am opposed not only to Amnesty but the very idea that an Illegal Entrant is the same as an Immigrant. That is why in my last post on your site I said without pause that we are already in a state of "Civil War" with our government. They are attacking the very fiber of our inception with Liberal and Right Wing ideals that most of us do not want.
We do not want 40 million Illegal Entrants here. That includes the offspring of those who are here illegally by the way. We do not want to keep paying for them. And we do not want everything we buy to say "Made in China" built with hands in some sweat shop south of our borders. In short, We are tired not only of Obama, (President though he may be), and Pelosi and Reid, but also of all of Congress for failing to uphold not only their oaths of office, but our laws. To give safe harbor to any criminal is a punishable offense for you and I. But the US Government, by even considering action against a state or any citizen for wanting to protect our Sovereignty is criminal as well. I say to Hell with Tyrants! I say Do Not Tread On Me! I say, this nation needs to collectively wake up and smell the manure before we are all lulled into the dreamland that is US Politics. It is time, Lou, like you say, to be Independent again and to be heard. We as citizens cannot let one state be attacked by our own government simply because said government does not have the intestinal fortitude to do their job(s). Thus, we need to not only vote them out, we need to kick them out of D.C. and put real leaders there. Not just mouthpieces or popularity contest winners-Leaders.
There is not time for Race to come into play in this 21st Century. Illegal Immigration laws passed are not about race, creed, or color, but about law. The NAACP, The Civil Liberties Union, (they don't deserve the American part of the American part of the Acronym), and other bodies need to stay out of government and stick to doing what they do best-serving the law-breaking interests they always serve. Other than that, what really do these organizations do for the average citizen?
In closing Lou, I know you are a strong voice in the war against our rights, but that war now needs to be carried to the "front" of our battle. That is right to the step of Congress and the White House. Not with guns or insurrection in mind, but solidarity for the greater good of the United States. It is not enough to simply voice our views here and elsewhere, but again, the time has come for all good men to stand or die for what is right. That is a United States of the People, By the People, and always for the People. Not the other way around. No more Tyrants! No more divisive political scheming. This is either all of us losing, or them winning again. This may sound like a rant Lou, but this is what I hear every day from Veterans, the unemployed, the outsourced and the oppressed-here, in my state, not some far away battlefield in Iraq or Afghanistan. Americans want their nation back, their industries, and their pride. We love our flag, but that love sometimes means ridding ourselves of those selfish leaders who think we serve them and not them serving us. Tea Parties are great. But better still would be seeing the US Congress collectively trembling in their overpriced suits and shoes at the sound of millions of Americans marching up to the US Capitol asking for their resignations. Like you post on your Header "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; When the government fears the people, there is liberty." I believe that is what Jefferson, Washington and Adams and so on believed as well... Thumbs up from Southern Ca. Lou. Keep up ducking.

President Obama is clearly in favor of Illegal Invasion if he allows one state to be targeted by the Federal Government for choosing to stand tall in the face of overt invasion. I hope that many other states will follow suit and pass similar laws that clearly show the American people are tired of excuses and inaction on the part of the US Government where Illegal Invasion is allowed and millions of criminals are allowed to flourish on our soil with financial and now legal aide from the government. Arizona is hailed as a monument in Hawaii. A permanent reminder of what happens when we let our collective guard down. So, the state of Arizona should be equally revered for their stance and not punished. I say to Hell with excuses Lou. I am damn proud to be a Veteran, an American, (by generations) and a citizen of these United States. Having said that, however, I am damned ashamed of some of my fellow Americans who continually put incompetent and inept persons in Congress and the White House to lead this nation. It was formed with sacrifice and the blood of Patriots. Now it seems our nation is for sale to the lowest bidders. Our borders are not at all secure; our economy is teetering on the brink; and having said that, I see no Leadership from our government. With two failed wars and even more failed policies I see the ideals of our Founding Fathers leaking away into obscurity and I feel the ebb and flow of Socialism creeping into our way of life. A lot has to change soon or we will vanish from the face of the Earth as a nation. The time is now Lou. People need to stop talking about liberty and freedom and act upon the words, "Do Not Tread On Me." It is in this alone that these United States can remove those who do not have the right to be here, fix our economy, and thus, restore ourselves to a place of greatness, not division and politics.
Thus, I say we oust anyone who is in office who does not have the will nor the conviction to stand behind our Constitution without reservations or fear. The people who really care are the ones who are not being heard and thus this nation is sinking instead of rising to the top of the 21st Century as a leader and as an example of why we became a nation and henceforth celebrate on the 4th of July in the first place. We can only be sovereign and secure when our leaders remember what it takes to be United, not only in words but in deeds. These are trying times, but no more so than in the days of our inception or the Civil War or any other time in which our mettle was tested. Now is the hour to stand against tyranny and not whither simply out of fear or self-preservationist ideals. If it is not worth dying for it is not worth flying the flag. What else do people think the stripes are for? Enough though, words mean nothing unless others are willing to act as well. Are you ready Lou? Is America ready? We shall see...

Kagen has already ruled on the Arizona Employer Sanctions Law. By appealing to the Supreme Court, she demonstrates that she has decided against a "confession of judgement". Therefore she should make a public commitment to recluse from the case.
From Wikipedia on confession of judgement : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confession_of_judgment
"By 'confessing judgment,' the Solicitor General declares that the federal government's position in a case has been wrong all along. As a result, the case is dropped, even when it had been supported by a lower appellate court.
Thus a lower court's decision in a case to which the United States government is a party can be reversed, effectively, in two different ways: first by a reversal by the Supreme Court itself, or second by a 'confession of judgment' by the Solicitor General who refuses to prosecute a cause that he or she considers to be unjust."

The banks don't care a hoot, they have the bailouts with the money to drive the stocks again. What about all these so called GREEN jobs? That's a complete joke. Just think ? if America went to converting all gas and diesel engines to other power sources. You're talking hundred thousand jobs, and hundreds of factories to make parts for conversion. That's not all ? just think no more dependants on OIL from other countries. I could go on with this, and write a book. I would love to know how many people in this country can think for themselves, or for that matter think of new innovative ideas. Watch TV shows on the History Channel, or the Science Chanel, you can learn allot. (Or read a Lou Dobbs publication!) My opinion ? I think the media is told by the government to keep most Americans to stay dumb in watching REALITY TV, and controlling the major news networks with crap and keeping all high urgent issues at hand low key. (Behind Closed Doors)
I'll be fine ? I have an intuitive mind to keep going. As for Washington, from UFO's to Conspiracy, they are not the only smart beings on this planet. Not everyone in America follows the rules they place forth to command you and I as a heard of cattle.
It's time for the Americans to start another revolution to take America back, get away from your TV remotes and start working to take back America. That rule should be the only rule we should be all following. I'm not talking to the people that want to work. I'm talking to the people in America that want everything for nothing, and cannot speak a word of English.
Hey Lou, what can I do to help your cause? Do you need a forum moderator? Let's push your forum as a media for intelligence that the White House don't seem to have. Give me a call, or email me, you have my contact info on the site as I'm a member.

You would think that these people would be pooling to find a solution to the problem, and then worry about the consequences later to the responsible parties. Their needs to be a cut off valve every 2 miles on that line. They should make the oil wells lines from the ocean to the rig out of manuverable materials that will not break, such as an l arm that can give one way or the other and inside of the l arm use a replaceable rubber hose or tire substance hose that can be replaced every 2 years. How can we allow these people to throw a steel pipe accross the ocean in water and not expect for it to rust out or need service over a mile down in the ocean. Those pipes should be replaced immediately with ones with cut off valves so this type of thing never happens agail.

. Fixing the Gulf of Mexico Oil Leak
What troubles me is in case of Oil Fires is that the way they stop the Oil Flow is put the fire out with an explosion to deprive the fire of Oxygen, and while the fire is out they place a piece of pipe with a valve that is open and clamp it to the pipe that is spewing the Oil, then close the valve stopping the flow of Oil.
See John Wayne's movie "Hellfighters" or watch the news Clips from when Saddam Hussein set all the Kuwaiti Oil Fields on fire.
The same technique would work under water. Using the Robot Submarines put a piece of pipe with a Compression Flange at the bottom that has a valve at the top, slightly larger than the existing leaking pipe, with the valve that is open so the Leaking Oil can pass through it while they tighten a Compression Flange on the bottom to secure it to the leaking pipe using either a Brass Ferrule or a Teflon or Neoprene ring. Then close the valve stopping the flow of Oil. Then they could attach a pipe or hose to the upper side of the valve and put the Oil into Tanker Ships and transport to a Refinery to be refined into useable products.
This type of Compression Fitting is similar to the fittings used on many of the valves and compression unions used around the world to install and repair Toilets, Kitchen and bathroom sinks and lavatories. What BP, FEMA, Homeland Security, The United States Coast Guard and the Obama Administration need to do is call a Plumber or Pipefitter (Steamfitter), and get the leak stopped.
By the way I just got my 45-year Pin for being in the Piping business.
How many people are familiar with a "Compression Fitting?" Every Plumber, Pipefitter, most Maintenance people, most Auto Mechanics anyone who works at a Ace Hardware Store, True Value Hardware Store, any Architect or Engineer, anyone who work at Home Depot, Lowes, or any Plumbing Supply and Pipe Supply House, Any person who works at any Valve or Pipe Fitting Manufacturer in my estimation about (One Hundred Million) 100,000,000 people in this country alone, But British Petroleum, FEMA, Homeland Security, and the Obama Administration don't have the Foggiest Notion, OR they don't want to fix it.

All of the cronies like Napalitano, Reid, Pelosi, and lots of the Republicans too need to get their heads out of their election campaigns and back in the game. It was clear he didn't have any plans to deal with any border issues before the budget window closed. The Committee reluctantly said they might have to decide on their own how much money to allocate (probably so he couldn't later claim enforcement wasn't in the budget). Bursin, Obama's border Czar, was also summoned and had little to say.

President Obama called this action "misguided" only because he has no answers on how to stop our national identity from being destroyed. In fact, his own words of asking for Latinos and young people to vote for Democrats is proof positive that his only concern is to ignore the issue and focus on helping his failed Party to keep an apathetic ear towards the will of the People in regards to sovereignty and national security. The billions of dollars it costs to support these 20 million illegal entrants is staggering. But the way Congress and it's supposed leaders are giving away our nation to China and through veiled attempts at Amnesty, I find myself actually ill to my stomach thinking about where our country will be in three more years. It never seemed possible that our own leaders could be so apathetic towards the will of the people and put the nation as a whole on the brink of sheer anarchy. You can hope for changes in elections in 2010 all you want, but unless the will of the People is actually exercised in force, (million plus marches of Veterans and loyal Independents), nobody is listening. You may be, and that is still refreshing Lou, but even President Obama mocks you as does White House Spokesman Robert (glib) Gibbs. He even chides and scolds the non-liberal media and calls them children... I see that new Movie Red Dawn, (the remake), this time replacing the Soviets and Cubans with Chinese and Mexico. Just like I have been writing for 30 years...

Regarding Obama Care, other wise know as, "the Hostile Takeover" of American freedoms, rights and liberties. For the past several decades,Washington has been encroaching on our freedoms and liberties and dominating our lives more and more. Now we have Obama, who has unleashed the corporate world on us. Now we have the labor unions, corporates,as well as an ever expanding domineering and bullish government dictating what we'll buy, who we'll buy it from, and what we'll get for our mandated payments. If we as Americans don't get up off our collective backsides, and soon, we will find ourselves living in a dictator state. The American people need to initiate a "Hostile Takeover" of our own. Meaning we need to take back our government, take back our country.

If the social Security System is truly broke, why is it that the federal government has borrowed (using there own figures) over two point five Trillion,( That's TRILLION $$$ ), dollars from the Social Security fund since it's inception and spent it to cover budget deficits. If that was added back into the current balance, we have a surplus, not a deficit. How is it they blame the current recipients of Social Security of bankrupting the system when in fact they (the current recipients) are the ones that created that surplus. The Army's disregard and disrespect for our flag has lead to general disrespect by many people now. I found this site; http://www.fixourflag.org/ Has more info and many photos of wrong flag wear. Diaz explaination is baloney. When the soldiers charged it was under a red, white and blue flag. They wern't afraid of it being a target. No other US Army has ever worn the reverse flag, only the full color flag, union to the left, no matter where on the uniform. We have been discussing the American Flag in the members area chat rooms for over two weeks. Diaz never said anything there. Lou; The reason the flag is camouflage and facing to the rear in the manner it is: a colored flag is an easy target for snipers. It is not due to some World Government running our Armed Forces as "Dan" would suggest. Secondly, it is reversed and facing backwards because when in the older days of conflict, (as even now), units carry their colors with them. To bring back images of famous "charges", when you move forward and not backwards or stand still the flag is always flowing backwards due to the forward charge. Hence, that is why it is "flowing" backwards. It is on the side of the uniform due to the configuration of the uniform, (Army), ACU's, due to the regulations for current unit of assignment being on the left sleeve and combat or tour patch on the right sleeve. This does not validate poster "Dan's" assertions. That is the by the book reason why it is not Red, White and Blue on the uniform in a "Combat Zone". I find it sickening that this person would even suggest our Armed Forces are under U.N. or other control, because if they were, (as in Somalia and Bosnia, they would be wearing Blue Berets or Kevlars instead of their issue camouflage. I know you like facts Lou and that helps you address certain issues that affect morale and understanding from the rest of the population. As I stated, all this information is in AR 670-1 on the wear of the US Flag in theaters of operation. I hope that helps Lou. Keep on telling the truth. TO Dan: They wear the camouflage flag because a sniper can shoot the Red, White and Blue flag and the soldier wearing it. No offense, but have you ever been in a combat zone? What should make you sick is the fact that some many "arm chair generals" think they understand why something is the way it is, but in truth, they only speculate. Lou; It should not make anyone sick to see our men and women in uniform and say our troops do not represent the United States. If you understood camouflage you would know the idea is not to be an easy target. This is not Iwo Jima; these troops are not hiding what nation they are from, it is rather their nation that conveniently forgets too often there is two wars still going on. That should make you sick, not the flag on their ACU's. Not to worry, Lou has his eyes wide open. Sorry Dan, try reading AR 670-1 to understand why the flag is camouflage and backwards. Now they make US flags for the military uniforms with the field of blue to the right. That is not MY FLAG. Per the official code the flag can only be displayed flat or hanging free. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid should be ashamed of themselves for even contemplating this course of action, but President Obama himself is just as guilty and arrogant to think he has a Mandate to do what he wants without the concerns of how Americans feel about this "take-over" of Health Care and growing the US Government against the ideals of the founding fathers. I am proud to be and American, however, in this moment I feel ashamed of how our government is forgetting we are a Republic and Democracy. This is no more than a coup against what the people expected after (not me), the slimmest majority elected Barrack Obama. I will always raise my flag, however, at this point in our history I know the World is watching and waiting to see how far we truly have fallen. I can only hope Americans will vote from the brain and not from some false allegiance to their embedded Representatives and Senators.
If these people have no loyalty to us, why should we reward them with re-election? Unfortunately, as it always has been the case, those in power tell the stories from their perspectives. This Leftist Movement to change history to make people forget the sacrifices made by our forefathers and ancestors is tragic and criminal. Omitting the Civil War and the War against Britain from History texts is damned foolish. I always parry those in favor of illegal immigration, like George Lopez when they say the Colonists were the first Illegal Aliens. Wrong! There were no laws stating their colonization of this part of North America was illegal back then. Thus, he is a big moron who panders to his La Raza crowd of cronies to make money inciting illegal alien advocates. Diana, keep the faith-people like Lou Dobbs and me will never allow this nation to fall just because of apathy and persons in leadership roles who should not be their due to lack of experience or the abilities to govern. This is why our nation needs to take steps to become more Centrist and forget the Parties in office. We need to vote them out, yes, but we also have to replace them with leaders... Callers keep saying there are no solutions be offered via Tea Party rallies. Well, my rebuttal is simply this: You, the American People are the solution and regrettably, have been part of the problem as well. In terms of lost jobs, national security, and health care issues, too many Americans, (which I am proud to be), have fallen into the apathy trap. If it did not affect them or their portfolio it was not an issue. Now that the Middle Class is on the Endangered Species List suddenly people are awake to the fundamental problem of a Two-Party System. Democratic Republic we may well be, but if solutions are to be found there has to be a third party. Yes, an Independent Party. If you have a coin and you flip it about 50% of the time it will come up heads or tails-not too much room for debate or real solutions, just luck. If you have to actually work out our national issues with the Middle or Centrist Party, (which needs to be officially created), then their is real choice, real debate, and real solutions from a point of view not Red or Blue. In conclusion, as I have served this nation and retired younger than I wanted to, so too have so many others, I feel I have earned my say, but also have an obligation that goes beyond my oaths. My oaths never expire. That having been said, it is a damned shame that our nation is in the state it is in when we have so many persons willing to die for freedom and then have the rest of the nation sit on their hands and complain instead of acting. I have a voice now that I did not have in uniform. I exercise it here and everywhere. We can all elect real leaders, but before we do that we have to learn (or at least some of you do), {I know how to lead already}, how to responsibly choose those who represent us in Congress. Ideology aside, choices have to be made on logic, not just beliefs. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are documents of logic. Our Independence demands we hold ourselves accountable each and every day. Yes, our Congressmen and Women have to do better, but we, the people have to put better people in those seats. Sacrifice is a journey, not simply a destination. It is time we Americans started to rebuild trust in ourselves and stop taking the easy road. I believe in hard work, sacrifice, and a strong national defense. In short, I am a Patriot. With that comes the responsibility that people like me, like Lou Dobbs, and millions of others have to come out of the shadows and affect real change, not just hope for it. This government is broken. It will not be fixed unless we put into it leaders, not fixtures. That is my remark for this week. To you Lou-keep spreading the truth sir. Rangers Lead the Way! Sincerely, Sergeant Major Daniel L. Lou, I have several issues with the Administration, however, the most pressing is still that National Security is in the hands of novices and Advisers. Our President is a novice and is in way over his head. Congress is completely out of touch with the People. Who is going to change this? Well, for starters, you have been turning the tide for years, Lou, and millions are now listening instead of just hearing. Independence means to be free-thus, to be Independent means to be able to have a choice. Well, this Veteran and Expert, (in my former field of endeavor) knows a leader when he sees one and you are a leader and an expert Lou. The Centrist Movement is rolling like a giant snowball now, thanks to you and people who understand Liberty and Justice for all. Thus, I choose to be Open Minded and Independent-I choose Lou Dobbs, You, as that voice of reason in a sea of inept supposed leaders in government. I cannot fathom how this man can talk about a women that was fighting cancer for many years - would have the non-benevolence to associate his campaign with a cancer death. If President Obama would just step forth and state to Democrats, Republicans and the American citizens, ?My fellow Americans, we are at war in the Middle East and our troops are facing terrorists there as well as on our shores. I am going to overturn recent decisions and issue a command, as your Commander in Chief, that the terrorists that have caused death and destruction in the Middle East and within our shores and on our airplanes, are indeed terrorists, and as such war criminals. I will not allow them to be tried in a US Court of Law...period. They will immediately be transferred back to a military prison and tried by a military tribunal as war criminals as soon as possible. Lou. President Obama has major one very large obstacle to getting anything done on National Security, Job Creation, and Illegal Immigration. That being his ego. This President is so into himself and his own image and agenda that he still fails to see that the people want jobs and that means he, {Obama}, needs to stop campaigning and start leading. His State of the Union speech was nothing more than a dropping of the gauntlet to again reassert his Liberal and determined attempts to take this nation right over the cliff to the far Left. He said he would rather be a great one-term President? He is not even a mediocre one. In conclusion, jobs are here, and the ones overseas need to be brought back. That means the IRS, Department of Defense Contracts, and industry. Illegal Immigration is a major roadblock to the entire jobs dilemma because billions are spent being "compassionate" to law-breakers. Yes, reform is necessary Lou, but not at the further expense of American Sovereignty. I Hope Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the Republicans can see past their own aspirations to understand We The People are fed up with politics and want action taken. Tell them Lou. I am a lifelong republican but voted for Obama in 2008 to show my dissatisfaction with the policies of George Bush and to show my dissatisfaction with the direction of the current republican platform.
I chose to be a Republican because it used to be the party of greater fiscal responsibility and smaller government.
Fiscal responsibility and smaller government all but vanished during the Bush years including costly decisions to be paid for on the backs of our children and their children (an easy way to avoid difficult decisions, i.e., spending other people?s money that don?t get a vote.)
What about the party that says they favor less government in our lives? What could be more Republican than supporting a woman?s right to choose without government interference? In my opinion, an intrusive anti-choice agenda should not be part of the Republican platform.
The Republican Party needs to stand up and support less government in our lives; fiscally, administratively and with sound social policies. Until Republican Party leaders come around to consistency in their platform I will remain an independent.
I predict that the Democrats in power will now feel the dissatisfaction of the independent voter as the Republicans did in 2008. The Republicans will be well advised not to count this as vote for their policies.

Lou; This whole debate about Massachusetts and the "Teddy Kennedy" Senate seat is ridiculous. I feel that too many members of both Parties believe they are entitled to certain seats in Congress and that is where the elitism runs rampant. No seat in Congress, no state should be assumed to be either Red or Blue. These are the seats of the representatives of the people. It is a prime example as how presumptuous and arrogant the Democrats and Republicans are to feel any such seat of power is reserved for their Party. The People decide, and in this case, the bully tactics and interference by either Party is not in line with what the Constitution wanted. In terms of a New Contract With America: none should be required. The only contract has already been signed-it is called the US Constitution and those signatures permanently in place should be the only "contract" pretend leaders need to follow. I humbly submit that if persons want to be in the Senate or the House they should look at and read that document to see what it is they are running for, not continually trying to re-write what is the will of the People. The Bill of Rights is also one of those documents that seems to elude the proper interpretation by wannabe Congressmen. This is a nation of diverse people, not just Red and Blue. So, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the fractured Republican Party need to understand we are a nation of Independents, not Party favors. Sergeant Major Daniel L. D., USA ret. CA

And all of us Independents sit in the middle and wait for scraps, all the while screaming "we're mad as Hell and want real change!" It is a lose-lose situation when the Supreme Leader forgot why he said he ran for President and became a mouthpiece for Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and has the Liberal Media stoking the flames every single day. I personally feel most of Congress needs to be replaced with competent and forward thinking leaders, not just eloquent speakers and orators who lull Americans into a false sense of Patriotism. Lou, if/when you're President please put in place the process for federal referendum then we won't be in this kind of mess again!

Lou, Congress, This President and the last one have left me the sad realization that the US Government is not of the People, By the People, is not in the Hell-For the People. This 60 Votes may taste good to President Obama and Pelosi, Reid, Boxer and Gang, but when they are all voted out in the next General Election they will taste the acidic sting and sour taste of the one-term death sentence they have just served up. Thank you for continuing to say it like it is Lou!

The new web site look is great.
How come no one has made the connection between the Health Care Bill, AND, the new law that became effective Dec 7, 2009.GINA, the Genitic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, Public law 110-233. Even BBC World News said today (12-21-09) that one of the prime pieces of the Health Care Bill is protection of GENETIC preexisting conditions for black people in America. How about the connection to Healty People 2010, started in the late 1990's, and ELSI developed by the government through Howard University NHGC. Look it all up on the net. Not telling the people what is going on will not resolve the problems. I understand, now, why costs will be unafordable. Wake up America,
THINK FOR YOURSELF.

Hello Lou,
you should run for senator and get your point across. Take a look at California and our budget crisis. The illegals have cost the tax payers here millions a day. We just can't afford it anymore. Our politicians won't enforce the laws and we are forced to pay for all the babies born to illegals and take care of their children, until at least 18 years and beyond. They get a free education, along with a free breakfast & lunch at school. Our prison system is overcrowded with illegals. In fact, thousands of gang members and bad people have crossed the borders with ease over the years, and our politicians turn their heads. We need your input in congress or the senate.

We always looked forward to watching your show every day. Yours was the only one we watched on CNN, now they may as well cancel CNN as there is nothing else worth watching on that station. Its FOX News only now! Would love to see you run for a political office, that's where you belong!

Thou I did not agree 100% with you, you did give me the other view so I could make a sound choice. I will miss you on CNN and I busted ass getting home from work to see it... I'll just have to use this Damn computer more.... My Cell phone too. Trying to get someone in the Baton Rouge area to cover your show on the Radio. I'll support you on any path you take.
